This activity pack is a great resource to engage middle level students with the basics of germs, bacteria and virus. Students use web resources to research, learn and investigate. The three main activities are as follows.
Germs for Middle School QR Code Question Guide: Guide using a Mayo Clinic website to better understand germs and infections.
Small Pox Doodle Notes: TED Talk doodle notes on smalls pox. A few gross facts tossed in makes this a winner.
Disease Wanted Poster: A culminating project that allows students pick a disease and create a wild west wanted poster. We like to Tea stain and age these projects, student enjoy this one.
Guiding Question worksheet: Students use this as a research guide prior to starting the poster. This allows them to focus on key concepts before beginning their final project. Great in class research activity. Additionally, grading rubrics and a sign up sheet is included.
